time passes by slow. antagonizing to a moot point. the moments spent in study hall are especially stagnant. if serin had to put a taste to it: bland. like a flat soda. a sound: tinny. white noise. the ever grating tick tock to the left of her ear. she’s bored. head swirling with the lack of sustenance in her stomach and sheer disinterest.
since she’s arrived, she’s read the last two pages of her charms textbook in repetition. none of which completely absorbed into her head. as if there was an unholy force out there after her productivity. or, maybe you just need to eat. yeah right. there’s also that.
a small sigh withers around her mouth, dies before it even makes it past glossed lips. if only for the sake of keeping the volume to a minimum of decibels. the last thing she’d want is to get in any trouble or be disturbing. instead her eyes sweep across the room, to the faces sitting beside and opposite before she stops, zeroing in on familiar features two seats across.
what’s his name. ah. um. huh. insu!
“insu!” she whispers, arming herself with a friendly smile. serin spares a minute to move over to the seat before him, smile widening. it’s been a while since she’s spoke to him anyway. though things are a bit odd now, considering she went from upperclassmen to classmate. “hi.”
“what are you doing? are you busy?” want to skip with me, maybe?
