Happily spending his weekends with the farm animals (he bathe two dogs this Weekend), his pack, and his sourdough starter, Linda that tita @liapacita shared with him. If he's not busy in the kitchen he's either in his Google Classroom or reading about his favorite film makers -- Tarantino and Scorcese. Sometimes I wonder if he thinks his childhood and adolescence are boring, but listening to our conversations I think he's doing fine. He doesn't seem to be feeling any peer pressure at all (well, maybe because he very rarely spends time with his peers); he's confident the with his personal choices, he's confident with what he can do physically (he goes biking with his father), and he feels comfortable around his friends at school (we used to spy on him at the playground after classes when he has in 7th Grade haha!). I used to fear parenting teenagers, thinking I may no longer get to talk to them or give them hugs. Surprisingly, they seem to enjoy sharing their thoughts with us, snuggling next to us in bed after dinner, and yes, making sourdough bread for the family. I can't thank my Higher Power enough for the gift of recovery. I never would have enjoyed these moments had I not chosen the #soberlife 🙏❤️ #Parenting #raisingaboy #raisingadolescents #intentionalparents #intentionalparenting #motherhood #sobermom #recoverywarrior #lifeinrecovery #soberiscool #soberissexy https://www.instagram.com/p/CDsqiboji1k/?igshid=1tx183v80n5ki
