Medical & Kit list
So, today I had the first of many vaccination at Inter-Health. I had the first of three shots of rabies - fun times eh? My next one is on the 8th and then the 22nd. In addition to these trips to Inter-Health I have a trip booked to my GP next week for a re-boost in Typhoid and to start a conventional course of Hepatitis B - 2 shots. So, i'll be ready to roll.
Luckily todays shot wasn't one which made my arm going numb, which is just as well as I had work afterwards. In case you didn't know, I currently working at the Royal Albert Hall which is currently playing host to a masters tennis series until Sunday. In case your wondering I got the job through a company called At Your Service, who, like GapForce are also based in Parsons Green, although they do have offices in Manchester, Birmingham, Oxford and New York [as well as other cities around the UK]
In other news I've start to get together some of the items on my kit list, so far I have a diving knife.....
I still need;
Wetsuit
fins
mask and snorkel
Diving log book
Drybags
Box mosquito net
Heavy duty wetsuits
Boardies,
rash vests,
weight belt,
and a large A4 dive slate
and that lot only covers Fiji! You'll be pleased to know I have ordered or I am getting some of these items for Christmas. These items are in addition to the usual plastic bowl and knife, fork and spoon etc.
Its odd, getting vaccinations and buying equipment makes the whole thing a little more 'real'. It still hasn't sunk in that I'm going yet, like at all at all. I guess it won't 'hit me' or sink in, until I'm at the airport waiting for my flight - which in itself is a weird thought but a good one.
More coming soon - so eyes peeled,
J x
