For the most part, Lucinda had been avoiding Drew for the past couple of weeks. Since their snapchat conversation, Luci had always had better things to do; she was working, or she wanted some down time, or she was out with friends. Whenever Drew called her, she had something to do. Which was why it was weird that Luci had now invited Drew to her place. Or at least it would be weird, had she not gotten some life-changing news. Despite Drew’s mediocre warning, the pregnancy really had come as a surprise to Lucinda. She hadn’t expected her girlfriend to known her up - people tried for years for this kind of thing, and now it was happening to her in some kind of freak accident. There must have been someone up there who really had it out for her.
At the knock on the door Lucinda dumped the pregnancy test in the trash - it had been five days since she’d gotten the positive result, and she hadn’t been able to stop looking at it. She knew that Drew had told her to get an abortion if she was pregnant, but there was no way she was going to settle for that. Luci opened the door and stepped back, closing it once Drew was inside without really looking at her. “We need to talk,” she said, her face devoid of any emotion. “Sit,” she nodded, gesturing toward the couch further into her apartment. // @chocolxtes
