starter for: @halimeyazici location: paradise point beach during the elves vs reindeer football match
To say Cameron had been distracted during the Elves vs. Reindeer football match would be the biggest understatement. He simply couldn't keep his eyes off the brunette playing for the 'Elves' team. He was still trying to come to terms that his ex... everything because girlfriend was just far too small a word to describe the role Halime had played in his life, was here, in Briar Ridge. After he had chased her down and she had flat out told him to leave her alone all those years ago, Cameron had had to work hard to force himself to move on. He'd never be able to forget the woman, not after ten years of living life together, but he had done a pretty good job of moving past the feelings of devastation that had so totally consumed him right after wards.
Or so he had thought.
It truly felt like every single one of his feelings over their entire time together was being dragged to the surface now that he knew she was here and Cameron didn't know what to do with it. It didn't help that, as he watched, Halime and Isabela were currently going toe to toe, literally, over the football. Yet, another complicated element to the whole thing. He had been beginning to wonder if there weren't actual feelings starting to develop for Isabela lately. And now? Now everything was a mess.
As the referee blew the whistle, indicating the end of the game, Cameron let out a deep breath. He didn't even know which team had won, really. He was too focused on watching Hali throughout. But once she had said goodbye to her teammates and was heading away from the 'pitch,' Cameron, who had kept his gaze on her the entire time, pushed himself off the bench he had been sitting on and jogged to catch up with her. "Look at you, only been here a month or two and already joining in the town festivities." he teased.
