After one million attempts from Elliot to sober them up that Theo refused an after ranting into their phone in the most chaotic conversation they ever had, Theo came back determined to convince Imogen to stay with them, however that looked like, wherever that was, they wanted to be a part of it.

In their arms, Theo carried a shit ton of baby things they 'borrowed' from Elliot and Sawyer, stumbling through the living room as they watched Imogen. "Please don't leave me." Were the first words they uttered after Elliot closed the door behind himself and left. "Look. I've got- got a bottle and nappies for the baby and pacifiers. And... we can- I'll move to London with you and I'll co-parent with fuckface." Theo shook their head. "Jack- I'll co-parent with- with Jack. But I can, I can do this. I'm ready to do this with you, however that looks like Immy, please just don't leave me." In their state, they never considered any other option than this baby being Imogen's ex fiancé and that she was keeping it with hi, hence leaving them. When she broke the news earlier and how she broke them made them think this was the news, bad news and they've been drinking about it since. Their drunk logic made them think that showing up with baby things were proof that they were capable of raising a baby with her which- made no real sense except, Theo didn't know that yet.

For the last month, Jamie came into the restaurant more and more. The place was such a perfect in-sync machine that they didn't need them anymore but there they were, every day, even Sundays (especially Sundays) helping out with the small things. Chopping veggies, working on all the doughs for the day, making new dips for the panera whenever creativity stroke, just anything. They needed to get their mind away from the news overseas, of what was going on back home.

Jamie had made one step towards getting over it: asking Nora out on a real date, something they hadn't done in years. And even though she was perfectly nice and beautiful and they had a nice time together, it didn't ease the years long pain in their chest. It had been a while since they cried themselves to sleep but it was happening more and more recently along with their anxiety attacks. So they did the one thing they knew would keep them grounded and that was work.

There was a small buzzing among their staff for the last couple of weeks, their employees coming in gossiping about this woman who's been coming in every day for two weeks for take out. She had ordered the entire menu twice by then and everyone was very curious about her. She never stayed, always picked up her bag and left but tonight, there was a problem with one of the pasta makers so they were a little delayed.

"The take away lady is sitting at one of the tables." Announced one of the waiters as they pushed through the kitchen doors and everyone turned to him with wide eyes even Jamie. "She's drinking wine because her food is delayed."

Everyone started whispering and gossiping but Jamie cleared their throat. "At least wait until she's gone to do all the gossiping, all right?" They said to the kitchen staff and then back to the waiter. "Apologise to her and tell her that her food will be right out and send her a panera on us for the delay, and some dips."

"Sure thing, chef." The waiter said before leaving.

After the whole social media scandal, the restaurant was in the eye of the storm for being a public place. Some fans of Imogen's ex-faince and well known movie star, Jack Freedman, as well as just curious people would stop by to snoop around and see if they could get a glimpse of Theo. Luckily, there wasn't any animosity and no one was making any trouble. It did mean that the place needed extra hands with the demand. As much as Theo hated to leave Imogen alone at home, especially after all of this, they were very needed at the restaurant, at least for production at the beginning of the day.

Truth be told, it wasn't the worst that Theo was needed at work at a time like this because at least it allow them to get their mind off of thigs. It was in the kitchen with their hands fully in dough that the host found them to let them know: 'Chef, Imogen is here.' With everything going on, it surprised them that she'd show up at the restaurant so they quickly made Max send her in, trying to get their hands clean off of dough. "Are you okay? Is the baby okay?" They asked coming to meet her half way in the middle of the kitchen. Service hadn't started yet so the restaurant was still empty of patrons.

Walking around Brooklyn hand in hand, Theo dragged Immy out of the house under the false pretense that they needed to get a few things for dinner and they wanted her to come with because she's been working so much. Technically, it wasn't all a lie. She had been working a lot, trying to get everything organized for when she had no choice but to take her maternity leave but it wasn't why they were out and about this time at least.

Immy's birthday was coming up and they knew she didn't want to do much so this was going to be a nice pre-birthday surprise that they were both going to enjoy. Standing outside Green Boutique, Theo stood in front of her a few steps away from the entrance where a lot of couples were going in and held both her hands. "I know it's not your birthday yet but I have a surprise for you that I think you are going to love." They were no where near close to getting married yet but they were both so excited about that day to come and Theo thought that stepping away from baby planning and do some wedding planning was something Imogen was going to enjoy a lot for her birthday.

Being neurotic and obsessive about organization had paid off when it was time to unpack the previous flat where they were living into their new house in the new city. Something that also paid off really well was the way every box had been packed and labeled by room. While Roy followed them around everywhere being absolutely no help at all, Theo was helping the movers with the boxes, indicating where it all went and begging Imogen please not to pick up any of the boxes, they're all pretty heavy' which was met with a pout but they gave her something to do, which was actually start unpacking.

The movers left after dropping the last box in the kitchen and Theo and Imogen were finally alone in their new house. "Babe...?" Theo called out, no idea which room their fiancée was unpacking now so the walked around the house with one of the boxes that had what they were going to need immediately like their toiletries, bedsheets and pillows, a few plates and glasses. "I think we can fit the entire previous flat in just the living room." It wasn't that the house was a mansion but their flat in the south was pretty small. The thought still made them smile, thinking of the two of them not needing more than that to love together. They were constantly on top of each other after all. But now with a baby in tow, the space was going to be much needed. "I'm going to get us walkie talkies so we don't have to be shouting at each other." Theo chuckled once they found her, kissing her cheek immediately after.

It was an atypical day at work for Theo but in a good way. They got to introduce Imogen to their kitchen staff who had only heard bad things about her, or... well maybe not bad but not great either. Mostly how she broke Theo's heart all those years ago. But now that they were back together, it was important to them that they all knew her because they were all part of their lives and their little kitchen family here in America. Everyone was polite to Imogen, even if Theo caught a side eye or more towards her but they knew it was just a matter of time before they loved her as much as they did. Well, maybe not as much, that'd be weird.

They were a little distracted since Imogen was wearing mostly their own clothes because they hadn't stopped to their hotel and just as they were showing her how the pasta machine worked, or in their case didn't because they were still waiting on someone to come fix it, one of the hosts came to the kitchen into the kitchen looking for them.

"Chef, your friend Jazmine is here. Do I sent her in?"

Theo thought for a moment as they remembered that the last time Jazmine was here led to, well a meeting that was a little more than friendly but of course they weren't going to send her away, that'd be rude. Besides she could be there for something work related, so Theo simply said. "Yes, send her in. Thank you Max."

Imogen was laying on her back on the picnic blanket she had spread over the ground for the whole gang. They hadn't seen them in a while, but they trusted that Utena was keeping an eye on the rest of them. Glancing around, she spotted her friend nearby and pushed herself up into a half-seated position. "Miz," they called out, gently patting the spot next to them. "Please, come join me. I'm just soaking up the sun over here."

"Danny, darling," Imogen said as they walked up to him, holding a margarita in each hand. She offered one to him with a bright smile. "I saw that you didn't currently have a drink in your hands and I thought 'hold on, that can't be right.' So I decided to remedy that." They brought their own drink to their lips. "Are you having a good time, love?"
