Lucas just had to finish this essay. Just finish this stupid essay about loyalty to king and country in Shakespeare’s Macbeth, and he’d never have to think about this godawful play ever again. And of course, Seth was sitting across from him in the library, distracting him, because Lucas was unlucky and hormonal and would never know peace. Still, Seth had to be better at English lit than him, because everyone was. “It’s safe to say that Macduff is the good guy, right? So Shakespeare is saying that loyalty to your country is a good thing?”
