( •°• ⚠ •°• / ⭑ )maybe now was a good time to be on a team that already was sort of not-so-good in terms of press with the public, because right now, the kickstarters were being torn down to shreds because of the actions of karma. protests and tensions were growing in the midst of reconstruction: the people were starting to lose faith … and briar couldn't say they didn't agree with why. there was still pieces of the story being processed, but would it really matter to those who were decimated ? would denizens be content with any reason that explains why a person they thought would protect them ends up wiping out so many of them ? those were the uneasy questions everyone had to keep in mind. but on the note of karma, briar was in search of one of the people that was last seen with karma, and all they prayed was that he wasn't in the list of heroes who died during the blackout.
pacing along some of the rooftops that they normally frequented during patrols, all briar was hoping was that ji hao decided to keep being a creature of habit; they hadn't seen them since they split to wipe out hordes, and with how many monsters overran the city, they couldn't keep contact. each second builds another moment of frustration and worry: what if he was under the rubble ? what if he was trapped ? they already called the death call of miracles, and he wasn't in it, so that had to mean that he was still here. briar couldn't give up that belief … they just couldn't.
