Haven let out a sigh, pulling her gloves off as she stared at her brother. Honestly, who thought that going to a ski lodge when neither of them could see was a good idea?
"If I fall flat on my ass one more time, Jason, I'm going to scream. So if you'll excuse me, I'm going to find some hot chocolate or maybe someone who can teach me how to ride the bunny slopes without almost killing myself." And with that, she turned on her heel, ignoring the crunch of the snow beneath her boots.
It hadn't taken her long to find her way back to the lodge, and upon entering, her face lit up at the feeling of warmth. Pulling her hat from her head, she shook out her hair while looking around. The place was relatively full, couples spread out at various tables while young children plopped themselves in front of the television on the wall. Her eyes fell on the small line at the counter, steam rising from coffee pots. Without hesitation, she made a beeline in that direction, barely seeing the person that she all but tripped over.
"Shit!" A hand came up to cover her mouth, eyes going wide as she realized she'd sworn in front of a small group of kids. "I'm sorry. I didn't see you. You know, coffee on the brain and stuff."
