“Today marks a historic moment for both France and Ukraine.... We thank France and its people for standing with Ukraine!” ~ @mfa_ukraine 🇺🇦👏💙💛🙏🇫🇷
#Repost @mfa_ukraine with @use.repost_ . . . 🇺🇦🇫🇷 Today marks a historic moment for both France and Ukraine. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and President of France Emmanuel Macron have signed a declaration of intent on cooperation in defence procurement, opening the way for Ukraine to acquire advanced military equipment from France’s defense industry and technological base.
✈️ This includes 100 Rafale F4 fighter jets by 2035, SAMP-T air defence systems, radar systems, air-to-air missiles, and precision-guided bombs.
Joint projects between our defence industries are also set to begin this year, including the co-production of interceptor drones and the development of critical technologies and components for integration into Ukrainian drones.
We thank France and its people for standing with Ukraine!

“Ukraine has adapted by developing interceptor drones. It takes roughly $10,000 to stop a Shahed – a fraction of the cost of traditional systems.” ~ @ukraine.ua 🇺🇦👏💙💛🙏🇺🇦
#Repost @ukraine.ua with @use.repost_ . . . Air defence today depends on scale, speed, and cost as much as on powerful systems. Russia relies on mass drone attacks, targeting Ukrainian cities with hundreds of Shaheds in a single night and planning to increase these numbers further.
Traditional systems were not designed for this. A Patriot missile costs 4 millions, while the drones it intercepts are 40 times cheaper, making this approach difficult to sustain.
Ukraine has adapted by developing interceptor drones. It takes roughly $10,000 to stop a Shahed – a fraction of the cost of traditional systems.
Countries in the Middle East and other regions are already facing similar threats, where mass drone attacks require new approaches to defence.
Ukraine is open to real cooperation with its partners – an exchange of security, guarantees, and experience. Combining capabilities is what makes it possible to close the sky and better protect people, infrastructure, and cities.
