Envoy
The Gha-Rasheed are the most terrifying and brutal race the galaxy, perhaps even the universe, has to offer. They’re great, hulking figures with heavy, natural plating that have all the color and sheen of ink puddles, rigid against blue-gray, leathery flesh bespeckled with dark bumps the same coloration as the plating. A quartet of dual-pupiled eyes of fire-red or muddy brown glower down a short, rounded snout with slit-like nostrils that flare bemusedly. Two rows of stagnated horns rise atop their skulls are used for brawling, defending, or just to make a point. They wear ornate, gray armor made of a compound that is one of their most guarded secrets. This armor is mostly just for show but it does happen to cover that with their natural plating does not. Even though their armor is extremely ornate with each detail representing rank, military history, and family, most Gah-Rasheed decor is simple and as gray as they are but what it may lack in grandeur it makes up in size. Elegant geometric pyres, pillars, and carefully arranged spikes make for a very intimidating display. The meeting hall is no different.
To stand now, a frail human by comparison, in front of the Gah-Rasheed high-priestess would be far more terrifying if it were not for their taste in music. With the introduction of humanity into the galactic society, many species became interested in our culture, often taking on pieces or aspects and vice versa. The Gah-Rasheed’s opinion of what makes for imposing and dramatic music greatly differs from that of humanity. So, as the audience with the high-priestess takes place, it is terribly difficult to appreciate the terror that is the Gah-Rasheed as “Bockwurst, Bier und Blasmusik” plays. I, a humble envoy, cannot help but smile as Takeo Ischi’s illustrious voice yodels through the grand hall. And so continues humanity’s reputation of almost perverse bravery in the face of mighty opponents such as the Gah-Rasheed.
