Marina and Nila are scaredy cats!!!

Nila: I was especially worried that there wouldn’t be anything to do here with all my time and was scared that I would be bored here. I’m happy to say I haven’t found this true, and there’s always lots to do!! I was also worried about my experiences not aligning with those of my peers. Once I got here, I realized it doesn’t matter if our lives match up-- or maybe that they will in unexpected ways-- and it’s not worth putting anxiety towards.

Marina: I was scared about similar things. Feared that I was really sheltered and that college would be like walking into Narnia--that it would be like opening this door where everybody had been doing all of these things for years and years and years and you didn’t even know it existed. There was a lot of observing and just being like “what???” when I got here, and I really looked up to the upper classmen who seemed mythic and mysterious and who were doing beautiful work. Bennington is kind of like that, but in a really great way.
