Hi guys! I discovered Mexican Literature through the #internationalreadathon and it was an amazing experience! I had never read any Mexican book before, or Spanish book for that matter, since I learnt English and German at school, so this was really a great opportunity. . I read Pedro Paramo, by Juan Rulfo, which is a classic written in the 1950s, and through this book I saw what life become in remote Spanish villages, and I discovered the magical realism genre, which is absolutely fascinating. If this got you curious, go check out this book, it's a quick read! You can also check out my review on my blog, link in my bio. . I also read El Jardin Devastado (The devastated garden) which is a contemporary novel, with touches of poetry. Once again, I drowned in a universe completely different from what I know. It's really an amazing book and also a quick read, I loved it! . Thanks @literaryloveaffair_ for organising this amazing readathon, I really enjoyed it and found that not only a brilliant idea but also an awesome opportunity! And thanks @romy_lv for the recommendations!
