Alex really did boost her own ego enough. No one else needed to inflate her head. Though if she were being honest, she did like hearing the compliments that came from him. They meant more some how.

"Who has the big head now? Don't overthink it." She teased, nudging him playfully. "We good again?" Eyes making their way to his, seeing the grin along the way, she couldn't help but smile widely herself. "Please i can keep up, i can out run you."

asha hadn't expected nate to catch her by the wrist like that, sure, they'd known one another since they were little kids. she had even taught him how to play the guitar. still, they've always had a good time together.

she looks back, from nate to the fingers around her wrist. it's firm, but not painful. he wants her to stay. exhaling slowly, she doesn't really have any other plans. though, she just thinks he might want some alone time.

giving him a fond look, she reaches to push the door shut. a clear sign that she's made the decision. stepping closer, she gives a quiet laugh and shakes her head.

Alex knew she was going to regret the words about to come out of her mouth. Unfortunately she couldn't stop them, in the heat of the moment, her emotions haywire.. He got the brunt of it. "Don't, I don't need or want you to look out for me Nate. You're just wasting your time." She didn't mean a single word -- she needed him more than she'd admit.

"I'm not a damsel in distress, my brother might think I can't do anything on my own, but he's wrong. You're both wrong, and i'll prove it."
