no way is that Ryder Walsh.. they’re a 25-year-old Synth notoriously known for being Easily Distracted & Retaliatory but there are some people who have seen them being Fearless & Proactive. if you ask me, they remind me a lot of aux cables, sound boards, and headphones, but that could just be because they’re considered The Sound Guy around town.

Parents divorced when he was only two.
He and his sister went to live with their father in the middle district, Mr. Walsh moving back to the district after the divorce.
After losing his job they moved again this time to the lower district.
Over the years growing up they went back and forth between the middle and lower districts. Things like a new job and a small raise or promotion putting them in the bracket to afford to rent a place in the middle district, but then an increase in rent causing them to have to move right back to the lower.
They were finally able to stay in the middle district after his sister was old enough to get a job and help pay for a better place.
Their mom took the hands off approach when it came to the Walsh kids. Acknowledging their existence, but then never helping out when they were struggling, even if it was just to offer the two a place to stay while their father figured things out and got back on his feet financially.
Bought them things and paid for trips as bribes, creating a pattern of buying something to make up for something else.
Given how young Ryder had been at the time of the divorce, this was something that had been normalized for him growing up.

Over the years he gained hands-on learning experience as a sound tech. Working first as an assistant and apprentice, before being able to go out on his own.
