BIOGRAPHY

el was born in montreal in canada to tobias and eloise evans. she is the eldest of three girls, all of whom have, for lack of a better phrase, boys names. this wasn't because her father had wanted boys and never got them, or anything like that. just simply that her parents were a little alternative and wanted strong names that were a bit different and made their girls stand out.
for the first four years of her life, she and her parents lived in a van and followed bands around on their canadian and american tours. this stopped when el's paternal grandfather grew sick and needed extra help.
the family moved to taos, new mexico just as elliott was moving into her last year of middle school. they moved for a warmer climate for her grandfather and his health, but mostly because there was a good doctor in colorado.
el joined pretty much any club that was about music, or performing when at school, and took any opportunity to practice and hone her craft. obsessed didn't quite cover it. music was in her bones, and writing helped her understand and work through her emotions.
el met hux when she came to taos, but they only really got to know each other in highschool. high-school sweethearts, is what other's called them.
when they broke up, el was gutted, but it did lead to amazing song material, and eventually an amazing song, which started the band she was in, off-piste's journey to stardom.
el went to college at usc which is where she met and off-piste was created. upon graduation they had a good following in california and were spotted by an agent.
off-piste gained representation and began gig-ing, and recorded an ep, which caught alight when the title song was played on the radio and later asked to be in a popular film of that year.
off-piste recorded a full album and began touring. this eventually lead to international fame and acclaim. they did world tours.
the tragic loss of a bandmate lead to the bands ending and el moved back home, with plans of putting out her own music once she'd come to terms with the loss of her friend and ending of her legacy. however, she reunited with hux and the pair became an item once again. this time, it was more serious, and more fun. they were adults now. and magnetic to one another. it seemed like neither could get enough of the other and this lead to their first child, jax. however, as fun as their relationship could be, it was also problematic and flawed. unhealthy for the pair. hux travelled a lot with his snowboarding and honestly, if he hadn't they'd probably have separated far earlier.
however, they had a briefly reunited when hux came back to town in retirement which is how beau came to be. but it finally became apparent that they weren't destined to be and much better as friends.
they've had the occasional backslide every now and then when they've been lonely or wanting something familiar and comfortable.
a few years after beau was born, el was asked to host a show on a local radio station; them believing she'd bring in new listeners. she accepted because music had been lost for a little while in her life and she missed it.
it became popular locally before picking up interest online.
HEADCANONS
el has an extensive doc marten collection, you'll very very rarely see her in any other footwear.
during hux's travelling for snowboarding and amongst the rumors of infidelity and one night stands, el had an affair ( though hux and she never married ) which started out emotionally before becoming physical. however, she ended it just before hux came home as she developed insomnia from guilt.
she still suffers from bouts of insomnia but mostly when she is stressed or worried about something.
enjoys snowboarding and it was a thing she used to do with hux, but prefers a hike or a lounge in a hot tub these days.
released one solo album after her bandmate died, which was a response to her grief and healing from it.
favourite band is led zepplin.
she actually majored in sound design at the usc school of dramatic arts.
