ー It was just a trip back home to visit the grave of her father and the home of her aging mother.
She didn't expect to spend months at home, her mother hovering over her with a worried expression again as she did when she was a child.
The girl fell and hit her head hard. Whether it was the floor she had fallen to or a cold, metal object of some sort that had knocked her cold upon impact, she didn't remember. Whatever it was, it took away her memory. Little remnants of memories, experiences, and people remained but all specifics appeared as a blank whenever the girl would recall.
Ayane Yuuki was her name, and she remembered, too, that she attended Hope's Peak Academy. Her talent was that similar to a singer--an utaite, or an online singer. Her brother and mother were people she remembered as well: Hibiki Yuuki and Aiko Yuuki. Hibiki told Ayane stories about her life, aided by the help of their mother, however the girl was still oblivious to their significance. The people in their stories--her friends, boyfriend, and family members--didn't ring a bell in her empty mind no matter how many times her brother told her of them.
And so, she spent months at home, her days full of old stories of her young and adolescent days. Slowly but surely, Ayane learned of her family members and the Yuuki's history until most of the information retained. But, she still didn't remember her life at school.
She returned to school months after healing, almost fidgity to see the people she once knew. With her hair a few inches longer than before, reaching her mid back, Aya walked into the school with her things in hand, afraid yet ready to face her old life.
And she sets off, into Hope's Peak, with medication in one hand and a map of the school in the other, hopeful to find her old friends and recall the joyous memories they once shared.
