The second reason is a more substantial barrier to over come which is that a mouse and keyboard and controllers have become a natural input for most, especially to those who have used one or both for a long period of time. So for a new input method to help immersion it has to be something that the player doesn't have to think about, An example would be trying to pick up an object with lets say the leap motion there is a specific way to angle your hand to get the best tracking in relation to you had over the sensor that is one thing you have to constantly think about until you have used it for enough time that you don't actually think about angling your hand but you do it automatically like you would do with a mouse and key board
