Bokuseno
Father - adventure -Bokuseno - loyalty- memory
Bokuseno gently closed his eyes and allowed his memories to flow.
First was Toga, the father of Sesshomaru and Inuyasha. The great dog general instilled loyalty in his followers. Oh what grand adventures Toga would tell him! As a young man, Toga was impetuous, a risk taker, but always thoughtful and careful with his followers. He would take the full blunt of attacks on himself. Later he asked Bokuseno to be his advisor.
Later yet Toga brought Sesshomaru to meet him. The cute little puppy chased his tail and raced about trying to catch falling leaves. When he exhausted himself he slept at Bokuseno’s feet. Through the years Toga and Sesshomaru would visit and Bokuseno watched Sesshomaru grow up.
Bokuseno was sad when Sesshomaru adopted the more proper high brow level of speech of his mother but he had been around many years and knew Sesshomaru would learn and grow and evolve. In Sesshomaru’s teenage rebellious years, Toga sought solace in Bokuseno’s company. Years later Toga became animated again telling the old tree of the impending arrival of a hanyou son.
Bokuseno shared the joy. He had been looking forward to the day Toga brought that son to meet him. Instead Saya, Totosai, and Myoga told him the news of the King’s demise and that he had given his life to protect Inuyasha and Izayoi. The old tree wept.
After that he kept abreast of Inuyasha through the birds, squirrels, and other creatures that came through his meadow. He heard the young hanyou had taken to sleeping in trees. Bokuseno longed for the day Toga’s son would rest in his boughs. He would tell him tales of his father and big brother. He would offer protection from the weather and enemies. He treasured Toga’s memories and his sons. He looked forward to their children
