Oh man, it's funny, though. I expected to like the show. I did! I expected to think it was well-written and smart and stuff, but I did not expect to find my soul attached to it like bubble gum on the bottom of a shoe, and I did not expect to cry every time Dean and Sam talk about their feelings or take care of each other. AHAHA WHAT A FOOL I WAS.

HI SORRY YOU GET ANOTHER ONE OF THESE BECAUSE AN ASK CAN'T FIT IT ALL

Yeah. Dean carried Sam out of the house when their mom died and there was a fire in his nursery. He saved his brother. He carried him in his arms to safety. And he hasn't stopped since. 

With Dean, it's not so much a choice to save Sam. It's the only thing he knows, the only thing that matters to him. If someone asks him to choose, he'll always choose Sam. Even if it means death and burning in hell for himself. He doesn't care. It's always Sam. 

Part of it is his dad drilling it in his head. But that was just the start of it, that and losing his mom so young. Sammy is supposed to be innocent. And even when he isn't, Dean is there. He is his little brother, his soulmate, his heart. Looking after Sam isn't just his job, it's his life. 

And as Sam grows up, he is just as protective over Dean. It's like a disease. It's this obsessive, terrifying thing that can bring down the world whenever one of them is in danger. 

Because Dean carried Sam out of that house. And Sam was raised by Dean. They were introduced to demons from hell together, and they'll either kill them all together or become demons themselves together. But no matter what, they're going out side by side. In each others' arms.

I CAN'T BELIEVE I SOMEHOW MISSED THIS IN MY INBOX THIS IS BEAUTIFUL. OH GOD I THINK I'M GOING TO START CRYING BLOOD. THIS SHOW IS TOO MUCH.

Congratulations you are the recipient of a mini essay on John Winchester!

Okay. 

John Winchester is an obsessed bastard who lost his wife to a demon and raised his children as hunters. He put pressure on Dean to take care of Sam and he told Sam to get the fuck out after he decided he wanted to be normal and go to school. 

But he's also the man who does everything he can to in his mind protect his boys. He makes a lot of mistakes, but he's clouded by revenge. He's a military man, so he's strict. And as a hunter he's just...absent a lot. He never tells his kids that he's proud of them, and that's the saddest things. Because he created these boys. 

But John... if John hadn't taught his boys to look after each other they wouldn't be who they are today. John Winchester is a bastard. But I swear to God he tried. And now I'm gonna go sob on the floor because he fucking TRIED. HE TRIED SO HARD BUT HE WAS SO BROKEN AND HE LOST HIS WIFE AND HE'S GOT THESE TWO KIDS AND NOW HE SUDDENLY LEARNS ALL ABOUT THIS TERRIFYING WORLD OF MONSTERS THAT CAN GET YOU AT ANY TIME AND THEY GOT HIS WIFE AND HIS KIDS' MOM AND THAT'S FUCKING SHITTY AS FUCK. GOD. JOHN WINCHESTER. FUCK.

DON'T MAKE ME CRY MELISA

I WAS SO HAPPY JUST NOT LIKING HIM THIS ISN'T FAIR. BECAUSE WHAT IT SOUNDS LIKE IS HE'S LIVING IN THIS IMPOSSIBLE WORLD AND HE'S JUST SO HURT AND BEING THAT HURT MAKES IT REALLY HARD TO BE THERE FOR ANYONE, LET ALONE A COUPLE OF VULNERABLE KIDS. SO WHAT DO YOU DO, YOU PROTECT THE KIDS IN THE ONLY WAY YOU KNOW HOW. YOU TEACH THEM TO FIGHT. YOU TEACH THEM TO BE TOUGH.

OH MY GOD THIS IS THE BEST ONE EVER. I LOVE YOU.

Do you love/hate/don’t feel strongly about this character? I FEEL SUCH BURNING LOVE TOWARDS BOTH OF THEM. THEY MAKE ME CRY AS I WATCH EPISODES AND THEN COME BACK FOR MORE. THEY MAKE ME GRIN GOOFILY WHEN I’M ON THE BUS. I LOVE THEM WITH A FIERCE, BURNING PASSION THAT WILL NEVER GO OUT. SO YES, I GUESS YOU COULD SAY I LOVE THEM, IF THAT’S THE STRONGEST WORD YOU CAN COME UP WITH.

What’s your favorite trait of this character? Obviously, I’m not super far into this show, but I love how brilliant they both are, how much they both care so much (that’s what makes me cry) and how much they can change. It hurts me. It really does.

What’s your favorite moment/event involving this character? OH GOD. OKAY. So for Dean, it’s terrible, but I really liked the part when he tried to call his shitstain father and he was crying. And then with Sam, I have a fierce love for in that one episode with the scarecrow and the trees when he just bursts in and saves Dean’s ass. I cried then, too. They just make me cry a lot.

If you could have one power/attribute/etc. of this character, what would it be? I wish I could be that badass. I want to be able to drive super fast, and kick down doors, and handle guns and knives and know how to kill evil things. Also I would like Sam’s study habits. That would be great.

Have you ever pictured this character naked? Dude, after watching the episode with the evil truck, I don’t even have to imagine.

When did you fall in love/hate with this character? I you don’t have any strong feelings toward them, why not? AHAH. HAHAHA. FOR SAM WITHIN LIKE THE FIRST THREE MINUTES OF THE FIRST EPISODE. FOR DEAN, WITHIN THE FIRST TEN MINUTES OF THE SECOND. I JUST LOVE THEM SO MUCH. TILL MY DYING BREATH, I TELL YOU.

Who’s your OTP for this character? I actually don’t have any, yet! I’m pretty open to everything at this point.

Dean would be the crabby old one while Sam smiles and tells stories that don't hurt too bad. But Dean would listen to Sam and start to smile because his brother is still this overly excited nerd and he loves to watch him. But that won't happen 'cause they're gonna die before they have a chance to get old. Welcome to Supernatural enjoy your pain- I mean stay.
