"do it now so you don't have to do it later" never worked on me because the opposite, "do it later so you don't have to do it now" is also true. The Task will have to be done anyway and it's gonna take the time it takes so it feels insignificant WHEN i do it.

what actually helps is thinking "I have to maximize my chill time where i don't have to worry that i still have The Task."

if i do it later it does take the same amount of worktime, but my now won't be as restful as it could be.
