Octacore iOcean X7S Elite costs
The iOcean X7 wants to impress, just as the big players do, not only with the display size, but also with the 12.6 megapixel (4096x3072) main camera (including image stabilizer). But the X7 loses painfully to the high-class competition such as Apple, Google and Nokia. Although the photos are quite good-looking for a cell phone camera in this price range, they are somewhat too dark. The sensor is overburdened especially when shooting against the light. Over the weekend iOcean held a low-key launch for their latest flagship phone, the octaocre iOcean X7S Elite. In China 799 Yuan smartphones are the hot productive to have now, Xiaomi have the Hongmi, Voto the V5 Youth, JiaYu the G2F and now iOcean have the X7HD. As we have already seen in this hands on video, the X7HD is a affordable phone based on the design of the original X7 flagship phone. X7 youth edition with its premium look will definitely turn heads. The handset is 8.9 mm thick and weigh is about 130 grams. It is comfortable to hold even with a big 5 inch screen (3.2mm ultra narrow design). The OGS screen is with a protective layer (dragon trail glass), it is scratch resistant. There are few gaps that are easily visible on the rear where the battery cover clips with the handset. It is not much of an issue and I think on a black color handset it will hardly be visible. Updates continue in the way of a new 5-inch LTPS 1080 display, 13 mega-pixel main camera with anti-fingerprint protection, and the new phone also boasts the ability to run either a 2000mAh or 3000mAh battery. The iOcean X7S Elite will go on pre-sale from 21st Jan in China for just 1399 Yuan ($230), making it slightly more affordable than the Zopo ZP998.
