My #PeaceCorps #PreServiceTraining is finally drawing to a close. The scariest part for me - the Language Proficiency Interview (aka “language test”!!!) - happened this morning and #PracticeSchool ended yesterday.
Now, I get to jump from practice into real, from training into working. While I’ll continue to be a guest here, I’m looking forward to diving into my life in Moldova fully, without being surrounded regularly by many American peers.
Though I’ve been in a Peace Corps and American “bubble” for the nine-plus weeks of training so far, I’ve already grown to love so much of what I’ve seen so far of #Moldova. That’s why this song delighted me so much when I stumbled on it! I don’t know the verses, but the refrain is already becoming true:
“Inima mea e Moldova/ Dragostea mea e Moldova/ Soarele meu e Moldova/ Tara în care trăiesc.”
My heart is Moldova/ My love is Moldova/ My sun is Moldova/ The country where I live.”
