Analyst Says The US Launch Of The Apple iPhone 11 Series Looks Strong

L’efficacia del sistema di elaborazione delle immagini dello smartphone viene messa ancor più in risalto dal confronto della stessa scena fotografata sia con la modalità notte attiva, sia da spenta.
Le immagini sono state scattate da Geordie Wood, Jason Nocito e Laura Jane Coulson: sono cinque in tutto e mostrano in sequenza le capacità di questa nuova modalità di scatto in varie situazioni. Una di queste ad esempio mostra una donna dai lineamenti asiatici seduta sul sedile posteriore di un’automobile illuminata probabilmente da una luce artificiale esterna, con un recupero dei dettagli nelle zone in ombra davvero notevole.
Ancor più incredibili sono i risultati ottenuti negli scatti successivi, dove iPhone 11 Pro riesce a fotografare con estremo dettaglio scene che normalmente risulterebbero particolarmente buie. In una di queste ad esempio emerge il profilo di un’automobile che, nello scatto senza modalità notte attiva, non sembra quasi essere presente sulla scena; in un’altra immagine appare una donna ritratta su un divano, illuminata da una debole luce laterale (probabilmente di una lampada a stelo con luce soffusa), con un corretto bilanciamento delle luci e delle ombre ed un’ottima resa dello spettro cromatico.
Dove iPhone 11 Pro riesce davvero bene è anche negli scatti che normalmente risulterebbero completamente bui, come nell’ultimo scatto dove viene correttamente esposta la scena in cui è presente una pianta e, sullo sfondo, un cielo stellato.
I tre fotografi sono rimasti favorevolmente colpiti dalle capacità del nuovo smartphone di Apple e tutti concordano con il fotografo Austin Mann, il quale ritiene che «La modalità notturna di iPhone 11 Pro imita quel che l’occhio umano vedrebbe al buio e molto meglio di quel che riesce a fare una macchina fotografica tradizionale odierna».
