Compton's Righteous | Every Ghetto Same | 1991
Conscious hip-hop group from Compton, California, formed in 1991 by emcee JimC and DJ L-G. The group recorded a second album at Death Row Studios in 1995, but half of the material was lost. However, they got a meeting for a contract deal with Interescope Records through Suge Knight’s close friend Big Jake, but everything got scrapped after Big Jake’s assassination by one bodyguard of Puff Daddy at Jermaine Dupri’s birthday party, and which began the “East Coast vs West Coast wars.
