Phoenix Society Prologue
Summary: 8 years after the Blight that had ranvenged the land The Phoenix Society is the only thing that stands in the way of the Paladians destroying satsu. The satsu are the victims who survived the Blight but were said to be marked as unclean by the gods.
Rhea Alagamora is one of these satsu. The only difference is she has the ability to trick one's senses with an assortment of illusions. Circumstance put her burning at the stake. All seems hopeless until the Phoenix Society comes and claims her as their own.
As Rhea joins the elite organization she must learn to control her gifts and protect those who can not protect themselves. Within the society she meets Cassian Sarath, the crown Prince of the country. He and the society have concocted a plan to take the current ruler off the throne and give the kingdom her rightful King.

There once was a Nymph named Forbis that was married to the god of death Alkila. Forbis wish for children but the god of death could not grant her wish because he could not create life, only take it.
Then one day at a banquet with all the gods Forbis met the god of nature, Nymowyn. The two fell madly in love and ran away together.
Fear Alkila's rage they hid within Nymowyn's sacred forest for many years. For inside that forest there was a willow tree that held all of Nymowyn's power. There they made their home and had their children, the four winds.
One day a human bard was passing through the forest when he heard Forbis singing and dancing around the willow tree. There he profested his love to her and proclaimed he will marry her. When she rejected him, he flew into a rage and cut down the willow.
Forbis begged for the human to stop but he would not. When he was done with her lover's tree he began to drag the nymph from the forest. In order to protect herself from Alkila and the bard she transformed herself into a flower.
When Nymowyn and Alkila found out what happened they joined forces and called upon the goddess of revenge and war, Rayga, to bring vengeance down upon all human kind.
The blight then ravenged the land killing millions. From within her bloom Forbis felt pity for the humans. In her mind the actions of one man did not mean the others should be condemed to die. The nymph used the last bit of her power to protect all children 13 and under from dying from the blight. Even though they lived, the children where marked with abnormal changes in pigment of hair, eyes, and skin. It is said that one of these marked children may one day release Forbis from her spell and return order to the world. It might happen, one day.
