Do you like resident evil 7... it's my favorite of the resident evil series
RE7 ROCKS!! god that game is so scary... yeah i have some critiquesTM of it (mostly just. where are more weird monsters yknow. not enough. Mold Monster #89 is not enough for me i am starving) but the baker family and its persistent chase mechanism for jack and shit makes up for it SO much. and it's in a very new, closed off environment with a more rustic and broken down feel. i also don't really get the hate for ethan, ethan is a strong point for me in both 7 and 8, and one of the few things i do really like about 8 is how it paid off some big questions from 7. eveline is a banger villain and once you find out she's been watching you throughout the whole game it's soooo creepy
ALSO. minor thing. but evelines power to just. turn people into monsters horrifically out of nowhere scares the absolute fuck outta me. horrific transformations and loss of autonomy / consciousness like that is a VERY potent fear of mine (hence why im also afraid of zombie transformations!) and 7 played into that very well
the atmosphere is just so disgusting but in a good way. and ethan really does just feel like Some Guy as opposed to a certified badass like chris or leon do by this point. like, re7 might not be the most Resident to ever Evil, it feels very different from other RE games, but i still reeeeally like it overall and even though i fully understand the plot and when scary shit occurs, it still freaks me out to this day LMAO
