A Slytherin Welcome -- Closed RP
ironic-lyrical-romantic
Alex shifted in her seat at the Slytherin table. She had just been placed in her house and the opening ceremonies had finished. She was seated in between strangers and she wandered who they were, but for the life of her, she couldn't get the words to come out. She was, ironically enough, not pureblood. She was half-blooded on her mother's side. Her mother's sister raising her in a muggle village to deter a singular Slytherin aspect from arriving..to stop the hatred of muggles in the wizard world. Her mother and Aunt both had been Slytherin and Alex had hoped she would not follow in their path, for both had become ill with their desires for strength in the dark arts. Her Aunt had gone into a rehab of sorts for it, though Alex could tell she wasn't better. Licking her lips, she reached to grab some of the mashed potatoes from the dish in front of her when a hand bumped into hers.
"I-I am sorry!!" She squeaked, blushing at the boy next to her. He had an ambiguous face and she couldn't tell if he was older than herself or the same age. She hoped that he wasn't upset with the fact that they had bumped hands, though. She quickly withdrew hers.
