       Stephanie lightly pats his cheek, a smile growing on her lips, before she pecks the top of his head.

        And he snores.

       She doesn’t know what hurts more, the fact that he’s gotten himself into this situation, that he’s hurting himself like this. Or that he lied to her.

       Sure, she isn’t his mom, she knows that, but Steph still thought they were closer than this. She had to go find him because he stopped returning her phone calls, and he broke up tow lunch dates over texts.

       Dani had practically slammed the door on her face after telling her he wasn’t there and he wouldn’t be. Steph felt lead weight settle in her stomach, her chest tighten, and then the anger came in.

        Thankfully she had a somewhat decent relationship with his brother. Rowan said Ethan was alright and that he was staying with him now; Steph sighed in relief, then made her way there. Because she had to know what happened, what is happening, and make sure Ethan was fine with her own two eyes.
