I really feel for the people in California battling these fires, this is another tragic consequence of our current climate and we can only expect things like this to increase in frequency and intensity in the future.

Thousands of tents abandoned in fields because festival goers think they will go to charity

Festival goers are leaving tens of thousands of tents behind in the mistaken belief they will be donated to the homeless and refugees, a charity has warned.

This makes me so mad, how can you be so ignorant and lazy?! Even if you did think the tents were being donated to charity, 1) why didn't you pack them up so they could be effectively distributed to those who need them and 2) how does that excuse leaving all the other waste throughout the site?! Honestly, this kind of disregard for the environment makes me feel sick.

She pulled off a month-long scam that ended with a 'Hunger Games'-style competition for the right to take her out.

This story kind of blew my mind a bit, I really felt sorry for the guys that had been conned but its interesting that so many of them were willing to stick around and compete for a chance to date this woman who may or may not have been a fabricated character for a viral video. If she was a ‘real’ person I’d be really interested to hear what her motives for this stunt were!

Its so sad that so many people died and that by the sounds of things nearly all of those deaths could probably have been prevented.

Thieves snatch shark from aquarium ‘by disguising it as a baby’

Thieves brazenly stole a shark from the San Antonio Aquarium in Texas by placing it in a pram and strolling out of the building. Security camera footage shows the gang of three lifting the 16-inch horn shark out from an open tank, wrapping it in a wet blanket and placing it in the pram before making their escape. Happily, the shark - named Miss Helen - has since been returned. The security camera footage from the aquarium shows a man leaning over the pool and nabbing Miss Helen, walking off with her in his arms.

This is sort of great, just the absolute audacity of it, of course its not great for the shark but it was returned in good health.

This just sums up the whole Brexit fiasco for me, our government is so incompetent that they can’t negotiate their way out of a paper bag.. that fact that we are seriously facing a ‘no-deal’ Brexit in a matter of months is pretty concerning. As America has become the laughingstock of the world under Trump, the UK has become the laughingstock of Europe under May’s completely ineffectual leadership.
