also im not really gonna bring up discourse on my birthday, but i saw what happened w/ josh yesterday and i wanted to say that im extremely dissapointed in the way i saw a lot of people in this fandom handle it. josh as a person with a family, an adult who’s job is not to stay current on fandom discourse.

forcing someone whos unedjucated in topics to speak on them does no good for anyone, and threating the and their families is even worse. im ashamed of anyone who was part of that, even if it was just a silly “choke” tag here and there. it’s beyond childish and dangerous as well.

bullying of va’s imo is never the correct option when they do things you don’t like. they may do problematic things, make inflammatory comments, but you don’t have to rise to it. you can either voice your opinion in a normal human being way, or not at all. you can be angry, but threats are serious. be the better person, and don’t make stupid choices that can put you, the va’s, the show, or the fandom at risk.
