the senobium being headed by an abbess, with clerics- and i assume the scholars, too- beneath her. and if the abbess would also be considered as a uhhh "mother superior" type of character if she heads the entire community.

i wonder just how accessable she is, considering the senobium is largely closed off save for a small few from the outside. how far does her influence reach? does she ever step outside of the senobium? do people know what she even looks like, or do people only know of her through stories and rumors?

within vere's introduction, he jokes with mc about them having "pressing matters to attend to" at the senobium, asking if they have tea time with the abbess. in mhin's branch toward the end, they're stalking a group of students that obviously belonging to the senobium as well.

"the senobium is a place of learning. if someone has questions that can't be answered anywhere else, the senobium might have the solution. or at least, that's how it was once upon a time. these days, its doors are closed to outsiders."

students obviously seem to travel in and out as they please*, and it's been established that not anyone can just enter freely anymore. i assume anyone inside would have closer access to the abbess, which also makes me think. if vere had ever met her face to face in his 200+ years of being in their custody. if it's the same abbess (which..), or if he's seen her spot repeatedly replaced over the many years of his life there. how many has he met.

i can't imagine the abbess not wanting an audience with a monster that had commited an atrocity so serious that they would lock him up the way they did.. considering there's already monsters living on every other street in eridia.
