I'm guessing you're still waiting for the origin story to drop if Illari meets the criteria for your fanon?
Honestly I'm on the fence about even continuing my fanon at this point because I don't know if the fandom is going to become like... 50 times more hostile for Gency shippers now. I know there are a bunch of shippers that are like "Joke's on you, Blizzard! I'm going to write even more Gency now!" and I've written plenty of spite-fueled fics in my day, but there's also been this question at the back of my head like, "Okay but I'm letting this fanfic distract me from writing original fiction" for a while now.
I'm just kind of sitting here like, "How worth it is it to keep writing this? I know I've had my continuity be pretty distinct from Overwatch's story at multiple points for years now, but also a point I make again and again with fanworks is that I want to write stuff inspired by its source material, stuff that feels like its source material, not just take off and write what might as well be original fiction because it's so divorced from its source material at this point. Maybe I could say, 'No... You're OOC!' to Blizzard's writing, but hell, it's pretty clear at this point that Blizzard is going to make the story whatever they think it needs to be to keep the game alive and... I don't have to do that. I can write my own stories. Hell, I've built up an audience with this community, and a lot of that audience has actually moved on from Overwatch. My over-and-above most popular piece of writing I did this year wasn't Overwatch, but a re-telling of Cinderella! That I wrote while fucking drunk!! Does this... Does this mean I'm free?"
