Nicolas de Lenfent should be a violinist like I. Stern. Passionate, wonderful — Penniless, maybe bourgeoise, and well to do, Lestat’s very close friend, living in the village.

Isaac Stern was magnificent. Short, heavy, almost a plump elf of a man, (Anne! I cryyyyyyy!) playing with wonderful feeling, almost abandon, rocking, listening to the violinists—
The line that gets me is "All questions in terms of Nicolas—“ Because that's what I write from Nicolas' POV... but of course, Anne is only ever in Lestat's mind...
