tumblr says lacrosse season, when allison came in, is in jan. or feb. her bday is in march, i’m pretty sure. that makes her 15 at the beginning of season 1, 16 by the beginning of season 3, and barely 17 when she died. (tv timelines are much slower)

oh man now I am even more confused our school/sports is nothing like that I have been thrown in the deep end here

She could have been 16 going on 17, or even 17, if born in the early half of the calendar year. For example, I was born in 1997, and I’m going to be 17 in a month. If I was born earlier than April, but not before January, I would still be of 1997 and also 17 already.

oh shhhhiiuut yeah I forgot that a year was a long time, and that people born at the beginning of the year also have birthdays ('-';

gah okay lemme gather my thoughts for a sec STUPID TUMBLR WHY DO YOU HAVE A TAG LIMIT U PIECE OF FUCKING CRAP GDI

#i need a fic like future-ish#like maybe a lot future-ish#where stiles and derek are bros#where derek is bros with everyone basically#and derek meets someone nice but is like wringing his hands because he doesn't really know what to DO#he doesn't just want like turn on his 1000000000 watts smile or use his looks#he wants to be nice and start a conversation#say something funny#and he's moping around until stiles is like GDI DUDE WTF#and derek tells him and stiles blinks at him in surprise pouts contemplatively#then he just says#OK C'MON HIT ME WITH YOUR BEST SHOT#(and probably waggles his eyebrows cos he's a pervy fifteen year old and derek rolls his eyes)#but he does#and like smiles#says something cheesy i guess#to which stiles only rolls his eyes like#DUDE YOU'RE NOT IN A ROM COM#and derek grumbles and says#WELL MAYBE SHE'D LIKE IT HOW WOULD YOU KNOW#so stiles sits up straighter and sighs and commiserates#GIMME A SEC I NEED TO SUMMON MY INNER QUEEN#OK GO AGAIN#derek just wants to hit him in the head but he knows it's stiles life mission to drive him crazy so he just goes with it#AND STILES ACTUALLY PLAYS THE PART#but then after he slaps derek's biceps gives a thumbs-up and waves him off to go get the girl#and then sometime later#in turn#stiles is like I'MMA ASK SOMEONE OUT#and derek offers to reciprocate but stiles is like NAH I GOT GAME and BOY does he have game cos like he turns into this flirty teasy guy in front of derek all smiles and winks and bright eyes and says something sweet and nice and considerate about idk derek's shirt or something and it's actually SINCERE and derek BELIEVES it and it makes him all hot under the collar and GDI WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN?????? and suddenly he starts seeing stiles in a completely different and new light and HOW DIDN'T HE EVER NOTICE HIM LIKE THAT BEFORE and derek gets this pang of jealousy cos stiles is totally using his game on different people when he should use it on DEREK but he isn't and it's outrageous. so then after some time and consideration derek asks stiles to practice the flirting thing again and stiles laughs for ten minutes straight until he can't breathe anymore and derek knows he should be like offended or something but all he can do is grin stupidly until stiles calms down. so then he goes and tries to woo stiles with his words and flirting and when he's done stiles has this unreadable expression on his face, mouth opened slightly and cheeks faintly flushed, but then he claps his hands together and gives derek a thumbs-up and is all like YO SUPERB THIS WILL WORK 10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND and goes on his merry way. and derek frowns after him, confused and slightly desperate BECAUSE HOW CAN STILES BE SO DENSE GFDI. and it goes on like this for a while until derek decides well he could write stiles a love letter because he's a lil bit old-fashioned and always thought sincere love letters were a beautiful thing (his dad wooed his mom with love letters and kept writing her even after they were married) and so he gives one to stiles. and stiles hands it back some time later, voice a lil choked off when he says THAT'S PROBS NOT HOW MODERN FLIRTING WORKS ESPECIALLY NOT IN BARS OR STUFF BUT THIS IS LIKE PRO-MODE SO GOOD WORK BIG GUY WOOED ME with a hoarse laugh, and derek's heart DROPS because stiles thinks this is a joke and something like a sample letter or whatnot, and UGH. so they both continue to be like MASSIVELY OBLIVIOUS MORONS until there's a party or a pack gathering or what u have and stiles is in the other room which is when scott walks up to derek and offers to play stiles so derek can "practice" some more. scott's totally serious and derek knows he wouldn't simply joke about this cos he knows THE STRUGGLE IS REAL so derek just gives in and like plays along which is when stiles comes in and starts laughing because derek is trying to woo scott. and everyone groans in exasperation and DEREK'S HAD ENOUGH which is why he walks up to stiles, grabs his face and like uses the most terrible but straight forward pickup line on stiles, and it's stupid and ridiculous and so not sexy or romantic but stiles is staring at him wide eyed, mouth a perfect o, and then they just collide and make out. and it becomes kind of a thing for them practicing their flirting which each other even when they're together and they would rate each other and it's funny and it's how it all started and stiles gets like SO competitive when derek's like NAH 3/10 would barely pay attention and yeah. something like that. yup.

hi! i lost a really good fic that i wanted to share with a friend :( it begins with stiles and scott as little kids at school and derek and stiles's mom waiting for them in the gym, and scott and derek are brothers, and the fic covers a reallyyy long time and there is sex, and there's a painting that stiles's mom makes before she dies that ends up being super important and i hope that's enough to find it! thanks!!
