Going out to bars and drinking wasn’t something Joon-ho did very often, and when he did, it usually involved being dragged there. He was definitely more of a one-on-one type of person. Being in a bar just meant loud, obnoxious people talking over each other. And Joon typically found himself struggling to follow along with what his friends were talking about and focusing on them more than relaxing and drinking himself—which left him being the responsible one of the group most of the time. But he put himself in that position. It wasn’t like he could blame them.
However, this time seemed to go a little differently. One of his friends passed him a shot as he finished his drink and before he knew it, they were daring him to go talk to a woman that was alone at the bar. Encouraging him, including him. After taking the shot and one of his friends ruffling his hair with a grin, Joon felt like he’d definitely come to regret all of this. But what was the worst that could happen? A laugh bubbled up out of him as he pushed his way through, fixing his hair and approaching the woman at the bar. “Hey.” The liquid courage was definitely helping as he slipped into the seat next to her. He probably wouldn’t have even made it this far without it. “Is—” Joon furrowed his brow. What was he supposed to say? He wanted to ask if she was okay because she almost looked upset. Maybe he could work up to it? “Care for some company?”
