Iseiai, not yaoi

So, I drew a version of a Davekat yaoi picture and made it iseiai- Karkat was genderbent, but dave wasn't- and my grandma instantly looked at it in disgust. She is very against anything other than heterosexuality (which is why she doesn't know my sexuality), so I had to be like "I have short hair, she has short hair!" Why does stuff like that happen to me?
