i gave code vein a try tonight. i think it might be a little too anime for me, the narrative is very explaining-everything-every-five-seconds exposition over dialogue, said plot is too complicated for my brain to comprehend, and so far i'm not too interested in any of the characters. i do like the gameplay, since it is a soulslike and in a way kind of a simplified soulslike. and you get really silly weapons. overall though not certain how much more i'll play.
however i really like how my character turned out. this is keir the androgynous goth vamp and their silly sword and their big titty anime gf. at the very least it was worth the pretty screenshots.
