UK Sharia Laws: Possible Holes for Extremists
Recently, politicians have legal movements inclined to please the Islamic community in an effort to make the United Kingdom the “Centre of Islamic Finance.” Sharia law has penetrated the UK’s legal system, allowing Muslim males to refuse inheritance to their wives as The Law Society has new guidelines on creating wills that work in accordance with Sharia law. In finance, Sharia law had also extended to help Muslims find financing in a way that is inclined with their faith.
I have no qualms against religion because people are free to believe what they want, but if these Sharia laws affect the general population of the United Kingdom, then we have a problem. The Law Society even said that the Sharia laws provide “good practice” in applying Islamic principles in UK laws.
The UK has a fair population of Muslims and their businesses are lucrative because of their connections abroad with different Arab and African countries. The UK wants part of that and politicians can take a huge cut from such businesses. We are talking about billions of pounds in this connection.
The only thing I fear is that it leaves Sharia advocates and extremists a way to penetrate into the UK system. The only thing I fear most is if these advocates exist in the business world.
If that should happen, then God help us with our freedom and extent to practice our rights in the UK.
