NO SOLID ANSWER IS ON OFFER  :  for he does not have one to give. he has never put himself above another , not once that comes to mind. he spent his days attending to cruellas’ unfair requests for she was sick , choked down secret wishes to abandon their original mission for the sake of his friends , and ran back to the isle  ( a place of anguish and flashbacks ) twice simply to ensure mal was safe. and never had he stopped to question whether or not any of those things were worth it    —    never had he realized he could. there had been no doubt in his mind , this boy stripped of self-worth , that he mattered so much less. now , he shifts uncomfortably and wishes that jay had not shattered his blissful ignorance at all. it’s an all - encompassing realization , this one : numbing and sour. ❛    —    i guess not.  ❜

     Aladdin caught word that Lonnie had the team taking advantage of the warm weather by running their laps outside in the forest rather than the gym to warm up. He meant it to be nothing more than a quick word but.... The genie found himself stopping short just behind the boy, perplexed at the sight of him crouched so closely to the ground -- and was that a coiled snake at his feet?
