Codename: Krypto Kid (Based on Superman)
Born as Mal-Sel on the planet Krypton, he was sent to Earth in a pod by his biological parents in order to avoid being destroyed by a cataclysm. Crash landing in Pakistan, he was found in the backyard of Fazli and Alaya Prisk. Fazli immediately decided he needed to be raised as their own child, naming him Ismael, while Alaya was angry at the baby for ruining their yard. She only took him in to shut up her husband.
Growing up in a rural village, Ismael mainly tended livestock and helped out on his parents farm. School became somewhat difficult for him, as his Kryptonian powers began to emerge. He found it hard to concentrate due to having super hearing, and sometimes he didn't know his own strength. Some kids started seeing him as a freak, and him snarking at them didn't help cool tensions. He didn't like bullies, and began using his powers to help out kids who were in trouble. He liked this so much, that he began saving villagers from accidents and crimes.
Alaya never saw him as her real child, and it got even worse when he began transitioning. Still, despite not liking her, he'd be there to save her in times of danger. It was only after discovering he could fly that Ismael realized that something truly was different about him. Doing some digging, he discovered a message left to him by his original parents. He was sent here to inspire hope for the people of Earth, and that's just what he'd do. Calling himself Krypto Kid, he created a costume (with the help of YouTube) and began making a name for himself in Pakistan, having his dad's full support. Even after finding out that Fazli had found him in a pod, he still loved his dad all the same.
While on a trip with Fazli in India to celebrate his dad's divorce from Alaya, they ran into a city where a supervillain had created a device that would summon a meteor to destroy it. He decided to help out a new hero he had just met, who called herself Sapphire Beetle. They would keep in contact, with Ismael and Reshma becoming besties. She'd actually upgrade his costume, and told off the scarab when it suggested tying him up to avoid him telling anyone her secret identity.
He eventually got noticed by DC as a potential hero for the school, and decided to jump at the opportunity. Soon, Krypto Kid was a key member of the Justice League. Despite having super strength, speed, x-ray vision, frost breath, flight, super sight and hearing, and being bulletproof, Ismael is content to be second-in-command to Denise, a.k.a. Wonderer. He does like snarking about their name however, though it's all in good jest.
He and Specter (Aggie) like rolling around the halls of the academy. She has special ghostly skates and he uses a skateboard made of the strongest metal.
Despite having some snark in him, this Ismael is generally quite optimistic, believing that hope and kindness is the true punk rock. He knows that some military folk fear him, seeing him as a threat to the nation. He knows that because what his father has taught him, he'll never willingly hurt the people of Earth. He may have been born Kryptonian, but this planet is his home.
His oldest friend is Jean-El, the Kryptonian tarantula that was with him in the pod when he was a baby. Now the superspider helps him out on missions. Newspapers don't work on this arachnid!
No, simply holding Kryptonite in your hand or putting it the same room as Ismael will not hurt him. Sure, it'll make him sorta sluggish, but the only way to truly hurt him is to have it come into direct contact with his skin, and he's way to fast for that. Hasn't stopped Max and the other villains from trying, though.
While Max hates his guts for stealing his thunder, Ismael simply has pity for the boy. As a billionaire, he could've used his tech to save the world, but instead has used it to try and destroy things.
The only villain he really despises is Neurona (Anne-Jeanne) since she caused the Kryptonians to ignore his original father's warnings and escaped while everyone else died. Now she's trying to assimilate and gain knowledge of Earth so she can destroy it. He won't let her wreck the place he calls home.
No, he's not a bird or a plane. But he is one super guy! Modified Booksy's original version and added my own spin to things. Lemme know your thoughts in reblogs and replies. @booksrbetterthanpeople @msweebyness @nerdy-chocomallow
