It's carnival season. Toronto held #caribana this past weekend (and no i'm not calling it by the lame a$$ '#caribbeancarnival' name). The #nottinghillcarnival in London is coming up and it's also #cropover in Barbados. And in honour of #CropOver here's #riri dressed up and celebrating her culture. Cause that is what Carnival is....a celebration of culture. Some people hear the music or look at the outfits and want to belittle Carnival. But it's a celebration of emancipation, history, harvest, religion, acceptance and so much more.
