Death was something that Mathias had not expected to fell him for over four months and coming. Poor Aleks had mantled Denmark, taken his duties whilst he recovered and continued to recover. But it was a long road, one that Emma quietly told him was going to take time. A lot of time. To get back onto his feet. But Aleks had handed Mathias a letter not but two weeks ago; only a month into convalescing at home in Bergen. He was still groggy and tired, but things were coming easier and that’s what mattered most. Liili wanted to visit. Rather, Liili was visiting. She and Aleks had been exchanging letters back and forth and Mathias wasn’t sure he was ready to face her. He hadn’t been able to return a single one of her letters. What did he say to her? What was there to say?
The door creaked and Mathias grimaced, glancing up at door with tired eyes. “Liili...?” God he sounded awful even still after all this time. The Dane tugged the blankets up to his nose, almost embarrassed to be seen as he was. He didn’t want to worry her--
@issinanoq || good morning
“Aleks! Aleksander!” she called his name twice, an attempt to get attention rather quickly through the closed door. Liiliani knew herself not to be quiet, so she knew she would not be ignored, especially as she continued to hammer away knocking.
Perhaps it was too early for this. Nonsense, this was actually quite normal considering it was her, actually. Anyone who knew her should certainly be use to the random visits at odd intervals and times due to her travel tastes. Or lack there of. Who really needed to plan anything, anyway?
Actually, maybe she should try to call more often. Oops.
Either way, she certainly did continue to knock until the door was opened, and then extended her arms out for a hug, as if waiting for a moment. “You know how this goes, and you know you’re too tall, I can’t reach your face you heathen.” and she was not a woman willing to wear heels just for a greeting, no one else was ever this out of reach, in fact, many she had to reach down for.
It was the dogs that got Aleks out of bed, both Sif and Saga standing at his bedside and raising an unholy racket. It was just past dawn, the blearly January sunlight barely peeking through the curtains as the Norwegian rolled out of bed and scooped the dogs up to hush them. Honestly, he had little clue who was at the house just this early.
But, the familiar voice calling through the front door had him chuckling, setting the wound up hounds on the sofa before opening it up. Was he answering the door and nothing more than his pajamas consisting of boxers and some old tee shirt? Definitely.
Oh, it’s dear Lilliani. He laughed a little surprised laugh, leaning down to allow the woman her hug and face smoosh. “Hey, I’m not the one showing up unannounced before breakfast,” Aleks teased, hugging her tight and unceremoniously lifting her off of her feet. “It’s good to see you.”
“Can’t sleep?” (If it’s alright ^^’)

The Dane hears Liili’s voice and he jerks his head up off his hand where he was just trying to rest his eyes. ...It wasn’t working. It never worked. “Liiliani?” He sits up and scrubs at his tired eyes with a groan. “No, no, I suppose not... I didn’t know you were in the area... I would’ve--” He yawns. “Would’ve not been trying to sleep had I known. Long time no see--”
Atta girl. You know I was thinking about you.
Nature Walk
@issinanoq | liked for a starter !
This was a terrible idea. This was the worst idea he had ever agreed to. It was the thought that bounced around his brain in a flailing, panicked spin as his eyes fell upon the massive creature about twenty-five metres away from the pair. A gigantic, lumbering beast. Folds upon folds of battered, barnacled blubber that shuddered with each jerking leap upon forward flippers. Two sharp, ivory tusks gleamed in the low light. Thick, wiry whiskers probed at the air.
It was far larger than England had ever anticipated and his skin itched with unease. They were too close. Far too close for comfort. He said as much. “Perhaps we should head back,” he suggested, “That’s enough adventure for one day, surely? Had a look, took some photos, that’s enough, right? Nip it in the bud.”
He failed to point out that, while his fingers were clamped, bone-white, around the digital camera in his grip, it was off; lens cap nestled firmly in place and all.
The walrus let out a low, rumbling bellow to the others of its pod. The noise cut through him and, without a second thought, his fingers wrapped around Greenland’s arm so fast and so fearfully he hardly had the wherewithal to stop himself before the deed was done. “A-ah, sorry,” England apologised, immediately retracting his touch, voice squeaking.
Pros; seem pretty open minded on things, also, that body tho Cons; guess we'd have to find out huh-
True. We’d have to. For science. I guess an accidental train ride to Poland or Bratislava is not so bad after all.
