Maria desperately wanted to wear her new dress again today, but the weather did not permit it. Yes, beauty was suffering, but it wasn’t worth getting a cold. 

But she couldn’t help but notice everyone’s change in behavior. When she wore that dress, everyone treated her like a princess. Now it was as if she wasn’t even there!
