My two necromancer rivals, using their powers for very different means.
Luciene is one of the best detectives this side of the Sunbeam Ruins. His knack for necromancy makes it a pretty easy job. Turns out the dead can reveal some pretty insightful information about a case. He has sworn to only ever use his powers for good, refusing to do anything that would allow him to control and manipulate those he returns to life. Ironically he finds the idea of returning something to life after death rather abhorrent; once you’re dead, you should stay dead. Once he has what he needs, he always puts their souls back to rest.
Naeli is manipulative, nefarious and power-hungry. Unlike Luciene she sees no problem with using her powers however she likes, and has been secretly amassing an army of reanimated dragons and beastclan. It’s hard work though, as there are rumors that a necromancer in the area is raising an army, and the Best Detective Luciene is on the case. She works as a cleaner at the clan, keeping her cover low and coming across as innocent and sweet as possible.
They have a fun dynamic going. In my lore, necromancer’s can detect someone else who has raised the dead before (some sorta “death stench” idk) so Luciene can tell something is up with Naeli, and naturally she’s a suspect. But she has a rock-solid alibi each time, and he just can’t catch her out and has to come up with weird reasonings to himself as to why she seems like a necromancer.
And obviously, Naeli knows exactly who he is, and knows she’s a prime suspect. and she thinks it is HILARIOUS. She’s doing all this evil-doing right under his nose and he can’t do a thing about it. She thinks it’s very very funny.
