do you think william can control where he heals first? like maybe it takes extreme concentration and energy, but do yall think he could possibly control what heals first?
I can't speak for Glitchy, but I feel like it COULD be possible. He would have to have a LOT of energy for that though, which means a lot of remnant being constantly pumped into him in a completely undisturbed environment. I think he would have a few priorities (like his heart for example. It's the one mass we see the most across any incarnation of William).
But I also think maybe he's content to having an artificial body? Obviously he's healing what he thinks is necessary at the time, but the fact remains that if he can keep a GOOD endoskeleton, his range of movement is improved DRASTICALLY. I think a glamrock endo would be the ideal endoskeleton just based on their range of movement alone. All of the Glamrocks move with a grace that is so jarringly human.
If William can get his remnant to attach to THAT, if he can regenerate his flesh around THAT, I think then he'd be content to shed his attachments to Spring Bonnie. And I think taking pieces of Bonnie's body as a test was his first step in that direction. I think he was testing out how much of the SpringBonnie suit he could remove from the equation before he was in danger of dying.
I think that, if this IS the direction he's moving in, his end goal would ultimately be to replace his bones with something more durable, since those are the parts of him he CANT regenerate. I think eventually we'd be faced with a William Afton who is more flesh than machine, but still undoubtedly machine at his core.
We've already seen parts of his hand form over a metal endoskeleton on Burntrap. There's no reason for him to heal over the metal unless he's planning on making this permanent.
