it’s funny how lando being the first driver to reach the rain while still on slicks, running wide and somehow managing to save it and get to the pit lane to switch tyres is somehow being considered some sort of horrific mistake that makes him the worst driver in history

No one’s too old for free candy!

You bet I offered it to parents as well! EVERYONE gets candy here. I have no issue spending money on MORE candy so everyone can have some and I think I managed to get the perfect amount of candy. Besides the gummy worm packs, those ran out kinda fast heheh i’ll just have to do two bags of those next year

How could anybody hate the rain?

The rain hasn't left as days passed to weeks in Vermont. Somehow Welton has fallen into a melancholic curse that brought sloppy movements and drowsy conversations to every boy no matter how enthusiastic they once were when the storm hasn't hit them.

Todd didn't mind the rain with all its plip plop sounds and strong winds at first. It helped him concentrate in his poems especially the grim ones he needed to be in a specific mood to finish. But now that the dullness had spread throughout the hallways of Welton into the shared dorm of him and Neil's -- the rain didn't seemed like his friend anymore. Even loud and energetic Neil went to a cynical daze from the touch of cold air. It made Todd wonder whether he should feel this calm in midst of a storm.

The only one who hasn't lost their charm was surprisingly Cameron, strict and cautious Cameron.

/Hey Todd!/ the boy yelled which caused some students yelping in surprise. He had found Todd sitting in the sheltered bench facing the wet grass. /You okay? You look lost. You've been in Welton for months now, what got you like this?/

/Nothing really,/ Todd replied but decided to be honest, /Oh well maybe the rain. I find staring at it like it insulted my grandma very helpful.

Everyone's been melancholic lately and it's all because of this damned rain./

Cameron stared at the rain with him and nodded along. /I personally like the rain,/ he said which got Todd staring at his every movement as Cameron approached the grass without fear of getting wet. /Rainy mornings make the world look like it's waiting for us, assuring you not to rush. And you know me, the poets know me and my insistence to have early attendance in every subject. It's refreshing when the world decides that you need a break and brought rain to cool you down, y'know?/

It wasn't hard to understand what Cameron meant. The rain did made the world calmer despite being the tears of overwhelmed clouds.

/Do you like the rain, Todd?/ Cameron asked him.

/I do,/ Todd smiled. His friend was right even if everyone seemed to disagree with him.

/Hey I know this might sound like a crazy idea to hear from me out of all people-/ Cameron approached Todd and helped him up from his seat,/-but why don't we head towards the dormitory building by taking the fields?/

/You mean by getting soaked by the rain?/ Todd asked disbelievingly but found himself not against it.

He looked at the rain and back to Cameron and decided why the hell not? He grabbed hold of Cam's hand again and pulled him towards the grass as his answer. They were both running now with the rain falling heavily in their bodies. They might get sick or they might not. But right now, the only thought in their heads was how much they loved the rain.
