some people dread father's day...i dread mother's day... it makes me anxious...makes me feel guilty...and makes me angry and sad all at the same damn time. it's so taboo to ever talk bad about your mother. everyone talks about their father...they hate their fathers. i mean fathers day is the butt of so many jokes. look at your twitter timeline on fathers day vs mother's day. mothers can be bad. mothers can be abusive. they can do you wrong and they can hurt you. i can never find the words to explain how my mother hurt me. no matter how i say it it sounds trivial...it sounds stupid. but it hurts a lot. i just one day...i want to find the words to explain it all. and i want to find someone who will listen, and not judge. someone who realizes not everyone's experiences are like theirs and someone can comprehend that not everyone has it like you...not everyone will. although me and my mother seem fine on the surface, and we're doing pretty good now, it's because i choose to stay away from her & i've learned how to deal with it after 18 years of beating myself up over it. i need someone who can understand the way my mother emotionally manipulated me to the point where it still affects me. she was the cause of a lot pain. a lot of psychological pain. and i'm supposed to love her...and i do...it's just hard to ignore the hurt. but no one ever understands.
