i drew Ghost
I'm in Texas drinking a Capri sun for the first time
I spent too much of my morning drawing this:
Just to hate it
Forgot that having a crush on the Wraith means having to deal with him being shipped with the Nurse lol
how this child see if his eyes always closed
A young boy once asked his mother, “Where can I find what I want?”
And his mother, who worries for her son, murmurs, “Books. You can find all kinds of things in books.” She is happy with her answer, thinking it over as she runs her fingers through her hair. Books are a good hobby, and becoming a scholar is a respectable career.
So the boy became a scholar. He went through all levels of school, made friends, ready many books.
But the boy has not yet found what he is looking for. So he asks a friend, “How can I find what I’m looking for?”
And the friend, who was born with a weak constitution, replies, “You should go on an adventure! If you travel the world, fighting monsters and doing quests, I’m sure you’ll be happy.” And that is what the friend would do if he could.
And so the boy becomes an adventurer. He becomes famous, one of the best they have seen in many years. He has traveled to every country, and tried many new things. The boy becomes a man.
But he has still not found what he is looking for. So he asks one of his companions, “How should I find what I wish for?”
And the companion, an archer with a sweetheart back home, says, “Love. Settle down, find a nice girl. Or guy. Whatever you’re into.” The archer misses the man he fell in love with, and writes a letter home.
And the man slows down and falls in love with one of his other companions, a female mage. They get married and have kids, a young girl and an infant boy.
The man is happy, he loves his wife and kids, but. Something is still missing.
As he stands over his sun’s cradle, he asks the moon and the stars, “What am I looking for, and how can I find it?”
And the moon leans down, caresses the man’s cheek just like his mother did, and smiles. “This is it. There is nothing else.” And the stars laugh, twinkling in the night sky.
The man does not know if he understands, but he nods, and goes back to his wife and sleeps.
He lives his life, watches his children grow up and he grows old with his wife, and he is happy. He grows more and more satisfied, and as he and his wife are on their deathbed, he tells the moon, “I understand now.”
His life has made him happy and satisfied. He was never looking for anything, for happiness found him.
As he and his wife breathe their last together, their souls float to the sky. The man becomes a god of fulfillment, guiding others to what they are looking for, and his wife becomes a goddess of familial happiness. When their children, and their children’s spouses, and their children and spouses, and so on pass away, they become stars. It is said anyone with the man’s blood in their veins becomes a star, along with who they love.
For they will always find what they look for, and that deserves a place in the stars.
