Omfg it was for that shit app Claude as well FUCKERS.
And I just thought I have a lot of words that an AI can just scrape. They're saying or promoting stuff like pangram at the moment saying it's you know, able to detect if it's AI and it's nonsense. They're training AI on writing, the classics like Frankenstein etc is apparently getting flagged as 100% AI. I've run my own stuff through edited and unedited. When I've edited my work i.e. corrected grammar, reduced long run on sentences it flags a lot of my prose as AI and I got really fucked off and frustrated (ngl I actually cried). My husband said look, lock your work to prevent them from scraping it.
I'm going to leave The Arrangment up for a month post finishing and it'll get locked again to the site, same thing for a Lapse in Judgement. I feel awful that I'm doing this but I know that a few readers have already fed my work to chatGPT....
UGH - long story short, if you can apply for an account please do so, I can of course always try an archive my writing elsewhere, I'll just have to look at the T&Cs to do this.
TLDR? Capitalism and techbros are ruining everything.
